Phoenix Engineering: One Year on from Acquisition

 

Although hard to believe, we are already one year on from our acquisition by Pentagon Plastics in July 2016 and what a difference the year has made to our Injection Mould Tooling business!

Through investment, improved customer relations, new prospect opportunities, improved work flow and a core focus on the successful outlook for the future of the business Phoenix has seen some real positive changes taking place.

Improved facilities

There has been investment in improvements to the facilities here at Phoenix which has delivered a far improved entrance area, a new staff kitchen and refurbishment of the workshop area has commenced which will be an evolving project.

We are further looking at the imminent investment into a Laser Welder which will improve our on-site process control, help to further reduce lead times and also be an addition to the sub-con service that we provide to others which will in turn generate increased revenue for the business.

Further workshop renovations have been planned going forward and we are very much looking forward to seeing these unfold.

New prospects

You may recall that in February we took part in our first ever industry event ‘Meet the Toolmaker’ and we are pleased to report that this has generated some interesting and valuable new customers and prospects. Looking ahead we will continue to raise customer confidence in our services with a view to continue to generate profit for re-investment in the business.

As the demand for UK Tooling continues to rise we are in a far stronger position twelve months on to increase our market share as we implement improvements through our business.

We are also ensuring that we maintain our high engineering skill set by way of recruitment opportunities for toolmakers to join our strong and experienced team. By growing our current team of engineers we will have further opportunity to deliver improved lead-times, technical expertise and quality end product to our valued and growing customer base.
